New Recycling Materials Accepted at DPW Yard

ADDITIONAL RECYCLABLE MATERIALS WILL NOW BE ACCEPTED AT KENILWORTH PUBLIC WORKS

The Union County Bureau of Recycling and Planning would like Union County residents to know that they can now recycle additional materials at the Kenilworth Recycling Center, which is located at 401 Sheridan Avenue in Kenilworth.  The Borough of Kenilworth is strengthening its recycling efforts by allowing County residents to drop off additional recyclable materials off at their recycling yard.

Previously, this municipally operated facility participated in the County used motor oil and electronics recycling programs.  However, residents will now be able to take oil filters, block Styrofoam, plastic film and fluorescent bulbs to the location at 401 Sheridan Avenue in addition to these other materials.

This will make the lives of Union County residents in the Kenilworth area much easier and will allow them more opportunity to recycle these generally “hard to recycle” items.  The Kenilworth drop off center is open to all Union County residents on Fridays from 7:00 am to 2:30 pm and on the first and third Saturday of each month from 7:30 am to noon.
