THE EGG HUNT

HIPPITY HOPPITY: 

Our hunt takes the weekend before Easter.  It is for children ranging from Toddlers old enough to walk (must be able to walk) through 4th grade.  It is open to all the children who live in Kenilworth as well as all children who attend Kenilworth Schools.  We stuff over 6000 eggs with various types of candy and prizes.  Registration are required for all children participating – to Register Please Click Here

EASTER'S ON IT'S WAY: 

Children are split up into 8 different groups. Toddlers and each grade gets their own hunt area consisting of approximately 1200 eggs to collect.  After eggs are collected the children sit, empty their eggs, place their eggs in the Egg Drop Bins, and collect their prizes!

AFTER THE HUNT

BUNNY PICS: After the eggs are all collected and prizes are claimed be sure to take pictures of the kids with the Easter Bunny before he goes back home.  He can only stay a little while as there are many hunts he must attend.

RULES OF THE HUNT

FOR THE CHILDREN:  

Be Considerate of One Another - no pushing or shoving, there are more than enough eggs for everyone; Once Your Bag is Full you are DONE - please leave the egg area; After Collecting your eggs - be sure to open them, there may be a prize ticket inside; Recycle Your Eggs - Look for our Egg Drop Bins and place your empty eggs inside; Claim Your Prize(s) - Bring your prize ticket to the Prize Table at your designated egg section

FOR THE PARENTS :

We Supply the Bags - Bags or Baskets from Home will Not be Allowed; Please Do Not Yell Out or Whistle for the Children to Go we'll let them know; Hang Back - Allow the children to do the hunt No Parents Allowed in with the Children & the Eggs; Toddlers will be split into 2 groups - Ages 1 & 2 (parental assistance is allowed - 1 adult per child) BUT please allow them to pick up the one or two eggs they are so "Eggcited" to get on their own - Ages 3 & 4 are old enough to do the hunt COMPLETELY on their own without help - we will have Volunteers to assist where needed - 5 year olds will go with the Kindergarten group; Do Not take eggs from one section to another there are age specific prizes which is why we split into groups; If a child Does Not Get Any Eggs - please see a Rec Rep by the building, they will have extra eggs for the Kids if Needed; Please help the children empty their eggs, place them in the Egg Drop Bins and Collect their Prizes; After the Eggs are Emptied and Returned - If and ONLY IF there are still more eggs in the field they can go another round - BUT not every child will get this opportunity - it is luck of the race at this point;  

MOST IMPORTANTLY - HAVE FUN!!!!
