Chief Financial Officer/ Tax Collector - KENILWORTH BOROUGH, Union County, NJ. The Borough of Kenilworth is accepting applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer.  Applicants will be responsible for all municipal finance governmental functions, including all statutory requirements as well as the preparation and the oversight of the municipal budget, payroll, pension reports, bank reconciliations, fiance related ordinances and resolutions, accounts payable/receivable, grants and escrows accounts  management. The successful candidates should have strong analytical skills and provide leadership in all financial dealings of the Borough.  Must be able to attend Borough and all budget meetings, and have the ability to interact well with the public and officials.  Attendance at Borough Committee Meetings may be required.  Applicants must have experience in municipal budget and fiscal issues, capital budget, investments and payroll.  Applicants will be responsible for overseeing the Financial and Tax Collector Department.  Applicants must posses state certification as Certified Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO) and Certified Tax Collector (CTC), as issued by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services.  Applicants must have a minimum 4-5 years municipal experience.  Qualified Purchasing Agent Certification (QPA) preferred.  Proficiency in Edmunds Software is preferred.  Proficiency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel, is mandatory.  The Borough reserves the right to interview candidates before the application deadline.  The Borough reserves the right to accept application until the position is filled.  No telephone calls please.  Borough of Kenilworth is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  Applications can be found in the above link.  Please send completed application, resume, and salary requirements to boroughclerk@kenilworthnj.org or mailed to: Laura Reinertsen, Borough Clerk, 567 Boulevard, Kenilworth, NJ 07033

 
 

Full Time Truck Driver/ Laborer

The Borough of Kenilworth is looking to fill a Full Time (40 hours/week) position for a Driver/Laborer. Entry level position seeking hardworking, motivated applicant. The candidate shall possess a Class A or B Certified Driver's License (CDL) with a good driving record. A three (3) year minimum of public works experience is preferred. Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Candidate shall be available to work overtime and for after-hour emergency calls. Candidate shall be required to pass a physical examination, DOT drug/alcohol test, and background check.
